Well I love the silhouetted kitten. I am rather partial to them. Yours looks rather curious with his head cocked just so. Wonderful haiku! I like the metaphor of tears and the puddle-stomping dance almost sounds like a native american celebration. Lovely.

I can see how stomping on puddles might hide the tears...I like the way your haiku makes me imagine more than you intend.

i am the tears of april
forlorn tapping dance

dear phil,

forgive my very late arrival. haiku my heart began with beauty and turned on a dime with a severe fever keeping me in bed for days.
i am so weak but thought i would try and at least let a few more know why they have not heard from me.
thanks for your understanding and your most beautiful haiku.
i can relate to this longing cat...
watching life from the inside...out.

Hi Phil~ Amazing how spring can lift the mood: there we are stomping through mud puddles with the cat! The photo is beautiful: at once spontaneous and posed. Looking forward to light and happiness!
