still trying to be like him

Dad's been gone now 33 years, and I still can't say goodbye.

Chet Atkins, who rarely sang, had a wonderful tribute to his father, I Still Can't Say Goodbye.
It's towards the end of my playlist below if you'd like to listen.

Wind blows through the trees
streetlights, they still shine bright
Moon still looks the same
but I miss my dad tonight...

It's such a moving tribute to your dad, Phil, how much you love him.

I couldn't hear the song, but will endeavour to do so another way, as I don't know this one.

Lovely and poignant post. Handsome photo. Sorry that you had to lose him so early in life, Phil.

thanks g & willow.

He was a good looking boy at 17. How I turned out so ugly I'll never know. :)
