I can't even begin to describe how much I miss my grandfather... I wish that this culture prepared us a bit more for death...

Both my grandfathers were gone by the time I was one year old.

I once found a WW1 journal of my father's father, describing, in the most elegant handwriting, details and specs of his rifle.
